Daoist Energy Meditation (Live Class, Jan. 17)


yin-yangJoin author and master teacher Solala Towler as he presents a two-hour on-line class on Daoist Energy Meditation. Daoist meditation differs from Buddhist meditation in that it uses various energy practices in addition to  stillness practice (zuowan).

In this class we will cover:

• Dantian Elixir Breathing
• Inner Light (Golden Flower) Meditation
• Grounding and Rooting Practice
• Hall of Light Meditation
• Filling the Jade Pond

(no experience with Daoist practice necessary…we are all beginners on the path of Dao)

This class will run from 3-5 pm (Pacific Standard Time), with time at the end of the session for questions. The class will be recorded on Zoom, so if you miss the session, or want to revisit it, a recording will be made available to everyone who signs up.

Solala Towler has practiced and taught Daoist meditation and qigong for more than 30 years. He is author of Practicing the Tao Te Ching: 81 Steps On the Way; Tales From the Tao; The Tao of Intimacy and Ecstasy; Cha Dao: The Way of Tea; Tea Mind Tea Heart and many more. He was editor/publisher of The Empty Vessel: The Journal of Daoist Philosophy and Practice, for 25 years. He leads tours to China to study qigong and Daoist meditation in the sacred mountains of China.
